From the Immigrant Refugee Resource Center in Lansing

Greetings,
Very important legislation has been introduced into congress to support the Afghanis arriving here.  They were not eligible for the “standard” refugee process because it takes a 2+ year time frame.

From the Immigrant Refugee Resource Center in Lansing.  The Welcome Act is legislation that will provide crucial assistance to Afghanis who supported the American government/military during the 20 years we were there.

The Welcome Act has now been introduced by Representatives Molten and Bacon. As you might remember, passage of this Act would grant far more assistance to Afghan Arrivals than is now the case for many. Please consider advocating for this very important Act. Its passage would be pivotal in helping us meet the needs of new arrivals.
